A brief update:
Josh and I just had our one month follow up appointments at Lahey and everything looks great!
Josh is nearing being cleared to do whatever he wants. He’s a popular guy among the staff.
All of my numbers are within the range of normal, healthy livers. That’s amazing.
I’m pretty dried out which is probably causing my nausea so they took me off lasix. I also have 2 less medications to take.
I still have a Jackson Pratt drain in. It’s a nuisance but I can manage. Maybe they will pull it next week.
While Robin and I were waiting for Josh something pretty cool happened. A woman named Ann and her family came over and introduced themselves. Ann is going to have her transplant at Lahey with her daughter as her living donor. Ann and I connected through my blog. Weird huh? I guess this little old blog of random ramblings is making a difference for some after all.
Ann told me that Josh and I should write books. Hmmm … I wonder what I’d write about. “Larry and the Lucky Liver Lover Band?” Maybe not…
I am so excited for Ann! I’m praying that everything comes together perfectly for she and her beautiful daughter.
This liver deal has given me a bunch of new friends. I like that.
Had a HAPPY MEAL Saturday Yep, went up to Raymond to Christ’s Chapel for a Spaghetti Dinner, with lots of Christ Followers, most we did not know. But we all came out for one purpose, to help beyond prayer, We are so pleased that HE is intervening in miraculous ways for you and Josh. May HE continue to be your rock. Dave & Cheryl W.
This is such great news and now you can be an inspiration to Ann and her daughter. Not that you haven’t been an inspiration to many all along!
Great news! P.T.L. I’m sure you +/or Josh could write a very successful book and that your blogs have been an encouragement to many more than you know. Mary McGaw
That is AWESOME news!
Our God is so good, so great, all the time ~ in the good, and the bad. But I am so very happy that you have good, super, awesome news!
And yeah for Anne! Pls keep up posted on her too, if you can…
A. I’m so glad to hear that you and your son are doing well. I continue to be in awe of the generosity, love, and grace that this demonstrates to everyone. B. You never know what circumstance you might have to touch another person and affect them for the good. Sharing your story has, no doubt, had a positive effect on people and in ways you will never know.
