Big, Hard, Audacious Goals!

It’s been years since my liver transplant in May of 2012. When I look at my packed calendar and all we are doing today, I can’t believe how very blessed I have been. My life today is certainly full. We now have four beautiful grandchildren. I never thought I would live to experience such joy.

Robin and I also traveled to Israel in January 2018 for the experience of a lifetime. Then, in April 2018 we spent a week in Guatemala once again working with children trapped in crushing poverty. We now sponsor three little girls, Tanya, Karla, and Damaris, through AMG Guatemala and one in college, Estezy. In April 2020 we will return again.

It feels so good to be alive and able to invest my life into activities that are improving the lives of others. Between my church family, my community stuff and my relationships in Guatemala, my heart is even more full than my calendar. I am so very thankful for the gift of life I’ve been given!

Tanya, Ezstezy and their Grandmother.
Karla was my Mom’s girl before Mom passed away in 2018. Now we are blessed to have her in our family.
Damaris (red shirt) is our youngest. Her older sister, Estefani, is sponsored by my Rotary Friends, Pat and Cliff.

When I went to Guatemala in December of 2016, I set a goal to raise enough money for 100 “Bundles of Love” at $20 each. Together, we provided the funds for 123 bundles! It was such a blessing to then be part of a team delivering the gifts to AMG centers and see the children receiving them.

We did it!
We provided CLEAN WATER for every family at our school in Oratorio, Guatemala.

I always have some crazy goal I’m working on now!

We’ve raised a roof, renovated a school, installed a new kitchen, built houses and and provided clean water. Send me an email if you want to know what I’m up to at the moment. I can use all the help I can get!
